FixCarIQ Privacy Policy

FixCarIQ stores the information needed to help you manage vehicle checks: account details, vehicle profiles, symptoms, scanner history, service records, subscription status, and support requests.

FixCarIQ is intended for drivers in Nigeria first. Personal data should be processed only for clear product, support, payment, safety, fraud-prevention, analytics, and legal compliance purposes. Before public launch, have Nigerian counsel review this policy against the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 and any applicable NDPC guidance.

Scanner data and vehicle reports are used to produce likely causes, recommended checks, workshop questions, and mechanic booking context. FixCarIQ does not provide a final or guaranteed mechanic verdict.

Vehicle information may include VIN, mileage, engine type, OBD codes, service records, and scanner history. Support information may include name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, message details, staff status updates, and internal support notes.

FixCarIQ is not emergency advice. Stop driving and get urgent help if the car overheats, loses braking, leaks fuel, smells burnt, smokes heavily, or warning lights flash.

Web payments are handled by Paystack. Mobile app subscriptions may be handled by Apple App Store or Google Play billing. FixCarIQ stores subscription status, provider, validity period, and payment references, not full card details.

You can export your account data or request account deletion from the account page. You may also contact support to request access, correction, deletion, or help with consent and privacy questions. Production support should verify account ownership before changing or deleting records.

FixCarIQ uses service providers for hosting, database, email, analytics, payment processing, and assisted report generation. These providers should be reviewed before launch and configured to protect customer data with appropriate access controls.
